FAQ

The Answers You Need To All Of Your Questions

IT’S MY FIRST CLASS. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

We are so excited to meet you! Check out this super informative link.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO ATTEND A CLASS AT ROGUE AWAKENING?

Every member must be 14 years of age or older. If under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver in person at the studio for them to attend classes. Occasionally, we will offer kid's yoga classes and classes/workshops for families with children of all ages. Check out our schedule to find when these are offered!

WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS OF YOGA?

Yoga at Rogue Awakening is like no other yoga experience you’ve had before. During class you will find yourself working hard amongst like-minded individuals who value exercise and mindfulness, and who are living their most powerful life. Yoga increases blood circulation, enhances your quality of sleep, builds overall strength, and reduces stress levels.

IS THERE A CANCELATION POLICY?

  • There is a universal 3 hour cancelation policy for all classes.

  • A “Late Cancel” charge of $15 will occur if a booking is cancelled less than 3 hours prior to the start of class.

  • A “No Show” charge of $20 will occur if a booking is not cancelled and you do not show up for a class.

  • We understand life happens, so please always contact the studio rather than clicking late cancel if an emergency arises and you cannot make it to class.

CAN I ARRIVE TO CLASS LATE?

Arriving late for class is not permitted as it disrupts your fellow rogue yogis who did show on time. Once the teacher has closed the studio room doors, entry is not allowed. Please plan your schedule accordingly. We understand that things come up, but we must respect the experience of those who made it to class on time.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY?

Similar to how arriving late to class disrupts to your fellow rogue yogis, leaving early from class does as well. We ask that if you are unable to stay for the entirety of class, that you choose a different class time that fits better with your schedule. We appreciate our members following the guidelines we have put in place to create the most amazing experience we possibly can!

WHAT IS THE “WAITLIST?” WILL I BE NOTIFIED WHEN I GET INTO CLASS?

When scheduling your classes, you may find yourself on the waitlist. The waitlist is where your reservation will be held until a space hopefully opens up for you to get into class. You will be able to check the status of the waitlist from your Rogue Awakening account. If you're on a waitlist and can no longer attend the class, you must remove yourself from the waitlist. Do not assume you will not get into class, no matter how far down on the waitlist you are. If you are pulled off the waitlist and added into class, you are subject to standard late cancel or no show fees. Please plan accordingly!

CAN I ATTEND A CLASS AT ROGUE AWAKENING EVEN THOUGH I’VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE? WHAT IS A GOOD FIRST CLASS TO TRY?

Heck yes! Yoga is for everyone, and if you have heard differently, they’re wrong! If you can breath, then you can do yoga. We offer a variety of classes and walk you through each pose using terms you will understand. Though you can technically take any of our classes, you may find our All Levels Yoga and Relax and Restore classes to be the most beneficial when you first start to explore yoga. Feel free to call the studio to speak with one of our Member Consultants about your goals and they can match you to a class!

WHAT DOES “NAMASTE” MEAN?

With hands pressed together and a slight bow forward, when we speak “Namaste” at the end of class, we are literally saying “I bow to you.” It is to say, “the divine in me respectfully recognizes the divine in you.”

I HAVE A HEART CONDITION - CAN I STILL TAKE CLASSES AT ROGUE AWAKENING?

Please consult your doctor before beginning a new workout regimen.

WHAT IF I’M NOT FLEXIBLE?

It doesn’t matter! Yoga helps improve flexibility. The more often you take class, the more flexible you will become.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE A YOGA CLASS?

It is safe for you to take class everyday. If you have an unlimited membership, join us for class as much as you want! We offer a variety of classes, so you can find new ways to challenge yourself daily.

With that being said, we do not recommend taking Power Sculpt everyday. This is a high intensity class that is intended to have you sweat like you've never sweat before. Alternate your Power Sculpt workouts with one of the other 7 types of classes that are offered.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE PROGRESS IN MY PRACTICE?

Every time you roll out your mat, it's an opportunity to explore a different part of your practice. You may find that some days your balance is better than others, or that you’re able to get deeper into your poses. Overtime, you will feel your body get stronger, but ultimately, practicing yoga is all about accepting where you are at that moment and knowing tomorrow is another opportunity.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE STUDIO SPACE THAT IS HEATED AND THE ONE THAT IS NOT?

Our heated yoga studio is going to intensify your practice. Be prepared to sweat in there. Pace yourself and listen to your body. Our non-heated yoga studio is a comfortable room temperature that allows you to focus on your practice and breath.

IS AERIAL YOGA DANGEROUS?

Aerial Yoga is potentially dangerous. Your teacher will have gone through formal Aerial Yoga training to properly and safely guide you through your practice. The most common injuries are pulled muscles, fabric burns, and dizziness/nausea.

CAN THE HEATING PANELS DAMAGE MY SKIN, LIKE THE SUN?

No! Although it feels like you're soaking in sun rays, you are not. The heating panels boosts flexibility, increase circulation, and helps detoxify the body. Unlike many other yoga studios that use forced air to heat up their practice space, the infrared panels radiate a completely safe spectrum of light that is invisible to our eyes without blowing around dust or allergens from heating ducts. They do not release any emissions, chemicals, or pollutants. Our air is clean and clear.

ARE LOCKERS AVAILABLE?

Yes. To help keep your belongings safe, after each use, the lockers can be reset and locked with a different and special code that only you know. We also have multiple cameras located in the front lobby, parking lot, entrances, and children's room for extra security.

DOES YOUR STUDIO HAVE A SHOWER?

Yes! We have a shower on the lower level of the building that is available to use at your leisure. If you don't have time for a shower, you may ask for a second cold essential oil towel to wipe down your body and refresh.

I LEFT SOMETHING AT THE STUDIO, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Rogue Awakening is not responsible for your lost items. If you realize you are missing a personal item, please give us a call immediately. Items left at the studio will be disposed of after 14 days.

I AM PREGNANT - CAN I STILL TAKE CLASSES AT ROGUE AWAKENING?

First, congratulations! Second, YES! We will always recommend you speak with your doctor before starting or continuing physical activity. The only restriction we have for our members who are expecting is that our Aerial classes become off-limits. Hopefully this is for obvious reasons.
