MUSIC & FREQUENCY (15 Hours CECs)
OBJECTIVE
In Sound & Music in Yoga, students will build a comprehensive understanding of the science, energetics, and practical use of music and frequencies in a yoga environment. You will learn the foundations of sound, including beat, tempo, pitch, BPM, and sound waves, as well as how the brain and body respond both physiologically and energetically to different frequencies.

This course explores how sound influences the subtle body, including common frequency ranges and how they shape mood, presence, grounding, and emotional regulation. You will learn to safely and intentionally use instruments such as singing bowls, tuning forks, playlists, and other sound tools without needing a sound healer certification. The emphasis is on ethics, responsibility, and proper technique.

Sound & Music in Yoga prepares teachers to confidently integrate music, frequencies, and sound instruments into yoga, meditation, and restorative classes. If you are not an instructor but have an interest in music and energetic work, this course also offers an accessible path to deepen your understanding of the frequencies we encounter every day. Through guided practice and hands-on learning, students will leave with the skills to curate playlists, support energetic transitions, enhance class themes, and elevate their teaching through intentional sound.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Each student will receive:
- A tuning fork to use personally or in your classes
- A custom essential oil blend created by you
- Multiple curated playlists ready to use in your classes

What To Expect
Day One
Day Two
Day One will explore the role of music in the yoga world, including a discussion on differing perspectives and the legal considerations of using music in classes, whether you teach for a studio or as an independent contractor. Students will dive into the science of sound and frequencies, examining how they influence the brain, body, and subtle energetic system, including the 7 chakras. We will also explore a variety of instruments, from singing bowls to tuning forks, with live demonstrations to show how they can be safely and effectively integrated into yoga classes.
Day Two focuses on hands-on practice and application. Students will work directly with sound instruments, including their own tuning forks, and learn how to curate playlists tailored to different class types. The day includes dedicated time to design a themed class and build a supporting playlist, culminating in a guided meditation to experience the full effect of intentional sound. This session emphasizes practical skills, creativity, and confidence in integrating music and frequencies into any yoga class.
